Specification
When Birmingham's new, prestige concert venue was opened in 1991, it was
incomplete - and was to remain so for ten years. But in 2001, for its
tenth anniversary, Symphony Hall acquired this very fine 4-manual organ (of 82
speaking stops in seven divisions) by Klais. City Organist Thomas Trotter
was the consultant and also gave the inaugural concert on 19 October 2001, when
he was joined by the CBSO in a triumphantly successful performance of Saint-Saëns
Organ Symphony.
