Specification
The rebuild of this Henry Wills III organ - it was originally constructed in
1932 for the Seventh Church of Christ, Scientist, in Kensington, London - is one
of the most significant surviving example of his work. It was designed in
conjunction with Harold Darke and the Kensington's church organist &
composer Geoffrey O'Connor-Morris. The splendid case (see photo
above) was designed for Emmanuel by Stephen Bicknell.
Music at Emmanuel is further enhanced by the provision of a much smaller, but
brand new, Apse Organ, also by the Willis firm. It is playable from the same console
as the West End 1932 Willis.
