This is the last of three organs visited by BOA during this year's city centre "organ crawl" - and it was certainly the largest!  St Martin's-in-the-Bull-Ring, the city centre parish church, houses a huge four-decker Harrison & Harrison that has recently been rebuilt by Nicholson.  We were delighted to be joined at this venue by members of Gloucester Organists' Association.

The organ was electrified by Compton in the mid '50s, when the present casework in the North Transept was provided.  The detached console is situated slightly above and behind the south choir stalls (see central photo), some distance from the pipes, and is equipped with a curtain to shield choristers from the antics of the organist!
